Cancellation Policy

Gastronauts Academy may cancel a class, course, event or adventure for extreme weather conditions, an emergency, if there are not enough seats purchased to cover running the class, course, event or adventure (we have a 12 person minimum) or in the event that a teacher is unable to make the class. We will endeavor to reschedule the class, course, event or adventure on the same day of the week within the same month or within 60 days, at the same scheduled time, as soon as we can. If you cannot make the rescheduled date, we will make an exception, and refund you the price of your reserved space.


Class ticket purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. This is because our teachers purchase materials and plan for their classes based on the number of students registered. However, if you’d like to offer your seat in that class to a friend or family member, we’d be happy to let them take your seat. We ask that you please call us ahead of time or email us at info@gastronautsacademy.com by noon on the day of the class to let us know.


Course, Event & Adventure purchases are refundable up to 31 days prior to the start date, but are subject to change fees and charges. If you must cancel your reservation for a course, event or tour (adventure) /or its extension, we will refund your purchase less the following fees per course, event and tour (adventure) tour and/or extension:

When you cancel a class, course, event, tour or adventure for any reason, we must ask you to notify us in writing at info@gastronautsacademy.com. Exceptions to these policies cannot be made for any reason. We are also happy to assist you in transferring from one class, course, event, tour or adventure to another in the same calendar year up to 70 days prior to the start date at no charge, after which our cancellation policy applies. If unforeseen circumstances require a change to the class, course, event, tour or adventure itinerary, Gastronauts Academy will make every effort to select alternative hotels / venues of the same standard and to keep modifications to a minimum. Gastronauts Academy reserves the right to cancel a class, course, event, tour or adventure for any reason. In such an instance, we will refund all payments received, which will constitute full settlement.




GROUP CANCELLATION POLICY


Parties of 12+ people: if a reduced number of participants are notified and acknowledged by Gastronauts Academy in writing (info@gastronautsacademy.com) up to 72 hours prior to the class, course, event, tour or adventure, a refund of the difference but not exceeding 90% of the total dollar amount for the number of people given at time of payment will be refunded. If a reduced number of participants are given within 72 hours prior to the tour, no refunds are granted. No refunds for no-shows.


If the canceling participants / organizer would like to offer their space in that class, course, event, tour or adventure to an alternate member, we’d be happy to let them join the class, course, event, tour or adventure. If this compromise can be met, We ask that you please email us at info@gastronautsacademy.com the replacements details a minimum of 5 days prior the start date class, course, event, tour or adventure. (*) Change fees may apply by stipulation of carrier / partner. Please confirm with our booking team whilst amending your groups / participants booking.


Any cancellation or transference of class, course, event, tour or adventure space must be made in writing (by email info@gastronautsacademy.com ) and acknowledged by Gastronauts Academy.


  • Cancellation 30+ days prior to tour date: full deposit refund.
  • Cancellation within 29 days prior to tour date. No deposit refund.
  • Cancellation within 72 hours prior to tour date. No payment refund.
